Altered Surfaces Learn to weave images without using tapestry techniques or pick-up sticks and double weave. We play with the weave structure pick-by-pick, selvedge-to-selvedge, to achieve what we want to see. Any weaver on as few as four harnesses can use this technique to create anything from scarves to rugs. Nancy Searles first developed it in the book 'Free Form Design". You will find this fun, fast and liberating.
