Kate Carras has been involved in the fiber crafts field for at least twenty-five years. She knits, spins, weaves and is a felt maker. She even tried her hand at raising wool sheep. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Textile Art at Eastern Michigan University in 1996 and a Master of Art in 2000. She has a small business where she sells wool and her own design handknit dolls.
